Who are they?

Deeply concerned with the responsibilities of a free press, the Sidney Hillman Foundation, founded in 1946, aims to honor and foster investigative reporting and deep storytelling in service of the common good. The foundation recognizes contributors to the daily, periodical, and labor press, as well as authors and broadcasters. These days the work of the Hillman Foundation matters more than ever, and we are proud to be helping their cause.

Why do they need us?

In addition to highlighting strong reporting each week, the Hillman Foundation relies on its site to call for applications to its awards, to promote its events, and to serve as an archive of its long history of honoring journalism that has made a difference.

In 2015 we launched an updated, mobile-friendly design that highlights the work the Hillman Foundation does to honor and promote responsible and thorough journalism. The new site features bigger images, better legibility, and improved search functionality.
