Right from the Start
Who are they?
The Memorial Fund is devoted to ending racism and poverty, two significant root causes of inequity in the United States. They focus their work in their home state of Connecticut, a state of stark inequity.
They have a special dedication to education, to which they credit the success of their own immigrant family. They focus on education as a tool for personal and social transformation, and as a central institution in U.S. society.
Why do they need us?
We have been working with the Memorial Fund since 2003, developing and maintaining various website for them, including the main site and the Discovery initiative site.
One of our favorite projects was site for their Right from the Start campaign, promoting early education and care in Connecticut. It was an opportunity for us to break out of our usual mold, and develop an entertaining user experience with light animation and rich illustration.
